- Azalee Dorman. American journalist for Time Magazine. Wrote a feature involving Shade Langley.
- Colin "The Caterpillar" Conroy Smythe. Deceased. Former Royal Navy, first officer on Empress of Britain and old ship-mate of
Montgomery's. Shot dead by Pepe Boccone whilst prevent bombing of Empress's Johnson boiler. He leaves behind a loving fiancée.
- Connie Withers. Professor Withers' wife, who lives at Old Mill House in Cambridge.
- Dimitris Dimitriou. Cypriot who retired from shipping business to open seafood restaurant in London's Docklands. Buys/sells Byzantine
antiquities and has Thai bride.
- Earl of Kinbane. Lyle Somerled Gillespie. Decorated hero of the Great War and business tycoon, directorships at White Star Line, São
Paulo Railway and De Beers. Family seat at Stansfield Park near Chichester. Involved with Gabby Dega in some, possibly nefarious capacity.
- Einar Elgsson. Son of the renowned Icelandic historian, Einar accompanied the party on their trek across the glacier to the Gateway of Hell. Likes to whittle wood.
- Gabby Dega. Deceased. American comic strip artist and forger, murdered at the Brighton Metropole by hoods working for the Caruso gang. Was a close friend of Nicks.
- George Ward Price. A famous writer for The Daily Mail. Knows Nick.
- Gunnar and Eirik Ruriksson. Viking brothers who sailed the whale road east to pillage Constantinople and the riches of the Byzantine empire. Eirik is held captive somewhere in the Mediterranean. Gunnar sailed west to Iceland looking for a weapon to free Eikir. Gunnar is deceased. Probably.
- Hendrik Verhoeven. A Dutch captain who fought in WWI in a navy. An old friend of Graham's. Afraid of Costel.
- Henry Reginald Holland Hall. Keeper of the Department of Egyptian and Assyrian Antiquities at the British Museum.
- James Buckingham. Lives in Truro. Writes for "The Cornwall Standard" newspaper. Has written about the party's adventures in St. Agnes.
- Karim. An Egyptian curator in the archives of the British Museum. Early 50s. Small man. Deeply spiritual and religious.
- Kathleen Kenyon. Father Sir Frederic G. Kenyon. Followed in his footsteps.
- Lady Eleanor Montague Thorsen. Widow of deceased amateur antiquarian Lars Thorsen.
- Lars Jónsson. Journalist who works for the Þjóðólfur newspaper. He showed some interest in the parties activities on Iceland.
- Major Dominic Ashford. British Army. Evaluated the Imperial Airship Scheme during its Icelandic leg. There are indications he is attached to SIS (formed in 1930 in London).
- Morwenna Pender. Widower and innkeeper of the Turk's Head St. Agnes.
- Mr Dubois. Suave French businessman, who enjoys wearing expensive white suits. Not a Belgian. May or may not be a villain. Does eat cheese.
- Mysterious Shooter. A young Egyptian woman, who shot at Graham on St. Agnes. She wore a with the symbol of Ammit.
- Nathan Betham-Boyd. Owner of the Drake Motor Company and suitor to The Countess.
- Pepe Boccone. Sicilian mafioso and bomb-maker. Captured whilst planting bomb on Empress of Britain.
- Professor Eiríkur Elgsson. The most prominent expert on Norse culture in Iceland. Helped the party locate the resting place of
Gunnar Ruriksson. Some Einar.
- Reverend Jonathan Whitemore. Vicar of St. Agnes.
- Sir Frederic G. Kenyon. Director of the British Museum. Daughter Kathleen Kenyon.
- Uncle Bob Caruso. Head of the Caruso Gang that dominates the South of England underworld. Lives on private train carriage that travels around Southern Railway. Runs his business out of Brighton racetracks.
- Winston Churchill. MP for Epping. Currently sitting on the back-benches and dealing with native rights issues.
